Observation 12945: Lecidea mannii Tuck.

Crustose lichen, on granite.
THALLUS: well-developed, areolate, shiny light brown, areoles gently convex, K-
APO: sessile but appearing sunken between areoles, lecideine; disc black, lightly pruinose, around 1 mm, flat; rim prominant, black to light brownish due to dust or pruina, noticably C+ pink-red under 30x scope; epihymenium blackish-brown, not at all greenish, K-; hymenium clear; hypothecium light brownish; exciple brown with dark blackish-brown outer layer, outer parts C+ red but fleeting

(I didn’t keep a specimen of this observation, but I do have specimens from other observations.)
