Thought Fulvifomes cedrelae grew in tropical areas like north africa etc?

Would love a sample from this Observation for my research if possible.

This was my first trip to St. John. I didn’t know anything about the flora and fauna.

Do you know what kind of trees? Host can narrow things down. Also, Phellinus turns black when you drip potassium hydroxide on it.
