are OK for griseoalba/costifera – but the dark colour..? I wonder if griseoalba can be this dark. It feels like the best candidate though. I can’t find any other possible species in the vicinity.

I’m thinking the ribs on these aren’t branched or rounded enough, and end too sharply, for H. costifera/griseoalba. They’re dark grey.

are both known species of Eastern North America, is there any similar species in the west? BTW, they are grey, don’t they?
