Observation 131083: Inocybe praecox Kropp, Matheny & Nanagyulyan

Growing in mixed woods of Fir and Oaks.
Caps up to 4.9 cm across.
Base of stipe with a smallish asymetrical marginate bulb.
Spores ~ 7.1-9.0 X 4.5-6.1 microns, ellipsoid and smooth.
Gill cystidia fairly uniform and ~ 55-65 X 15-17 microns, narrowly utriform.
Did not detect any strong odor.
I should check the stipe cystidia but one has only so much time and patience for Inocybe!

Spores in KOH @ 1000X
Pleurocystidia in Congo Red @ 1000X.
Cheilocystidia in Congo Red @ 1000X.
