Observation 131154: Daedaleopsis confragosa (Bolton) J. Schröt.

When: 2012-03-16

Collection location: West Wyoming, Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]

Who: Phil Yeager (gunchky)

Specimen available

Whitish to light tan caps with maze-like pores. Some were found on Brown Birch, and some on other dead hardwoods in the same area. These were quite old when we found them. I’m assuming that these all are the same species. These are abundant in this area. The margin is sharp, thin and decurved; probably due to age.
