At first thought to be P. semilanceata, but the gill attachment is off for that species (see picture).
Stipe relatively fragile and not very pliant, but this could be due to the large amounts of precipitation.

Found on the edge of pasture occasionally grazed by cattle, sheep or horses.
What appears to be P. semilanceata growing close by.

Sounds plausible yet interesting to know how or why these features vary.
Are there “middle grounds” where two different but similar species both
might “touch” in a genetic sense?
