Observation 13137: Agaricales sensu lato

When: 2008-10-26

Collection location: Larch Mountain, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

Notes:
May or may not be a Galerina, but looks similar enough to some Galerinas I have seen to suggest that name, anyway. Cap is reddish-orange, with unknown white specs on it (not volval, I believe). Stipe about 3.25 inches in length, whitish at base and slightly larger, tapering slightly to the cap; gills mottled light brown to slightly orange, with white edges to the gills; stipe directly under the cap shows white fibrils/scales. A quite pretty mushroom.
