Observation 132071: Coprinellus P. Karst.

Notes:
I found this group of spider-like stranded growths on a tree trunk. I am not sure if it is a fungi. When I placed a small stick into the mass and rotated it, the strands adhered to the stick like a sticky spider web. There were no living/moving organisms apparent to the naked eye. The strands appeared to not be damaged or deteriorating. The mass appeared to be fresh. The general overall length of each growth was about 3cm. For general info and comment please. kk
