Observation 132249: Exidia recisa (Ditmar) Fr.

When: 2013-04-20

Collection location: Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dave W (Dave W)

No specimen available

I’ve been finding a lot of this. Each time I run across it my first impression is to call it “auricularia” because it is made up of seperate ear-shaped rubbery fruit bodies. Each “ear” is attached to the substrate by a tiny stem-like point. The undersides of the fruit bodies are warty.
