Observation 132502: Xylaria Hill ex Schrank

Believe this group to be “Dead Man’s Fingers” (Cordyceps – Xylaria polymorphia)
There were about 6-8 specimens growing vertical from the small broken dead branch that was lying on the forest floor. When cut the specimens were fibrous inside. Also see previous images 44881.
