Observation 13332: Mycena (Pers.) Roussel

When: 2008-11-01

Collection location: Charles Sprague Wayside, Tillamook Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

Notes:
Didn’t bring any specimens home for later analysis. Cap pale brown to nearly white; gills white, lots of mycelium at base of stipe. Probably Mycena, but not one of the colored varieties. All growing in close proximity to each other on a Biglead maple trunk, but in a deep crack/ridge of the trunk. Tree still living, so probably mushroom a saprophyte on leaves/needles from nearby trees.
