This is not the typical coloration for L. bicolor. It has a dark ruby-red stipe, especially just under the cap; the stipe is also rather long at 4.25 inches, and a extremely dark ruby-red cap with dark red fibrils. Associated with Lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta).
