As if on “Discomycetes” is not very appropriate, this is not with certainty Bisporella citrina, anything more than a could be is largely over confident…

Edit: Is there even a guarantee that your observations are even the same species?

Works great

That’s exactly how I take shots through my dissecting scope, guess it just never occurred to me to try the same thing through my hand lens. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t have to set anything special. I have a Kodak Z885
digital, nothing fancy. It has automatic or manual settings.
Sometimes the autofocus is a problem with the closeups, I may
then switch to manual focus and get closer until it looks sharp.
That also helps if the fungus is less detailed than the background
(like on grainy wood). I’ve also found on this camera the automatic
exposure is a little too bright for my taste, I either go manual
there or to the programmed setting to close down about one stop.

If that is what you’re doing, it’s working great!

Dude! You can take photos like that??

Do you have to use any fancy settings?
