Notes:
Found in soil under douglas fir. Gills were pail salmon pink at time of collection but faded to brown overnight. I suspect brown spores.

Agaricus praeclaresquamosus has certainly been applied to collections that look like this one in northern California. However, it is unlikely that it is the ‘true’ A. praeclaresquamosus, but I don’t think we have a clear (or should I say ‘clare’) alternative.
