Notes:
Cap up to 38 mm, convex to flat, yellow-orange with yellowish patches. Gills whitish and close. Stem yellow, up to 52 mm x 4-8 mm (top-bottom), tapered at apex, white bulb at base, yellow-orange ring top third of stem, yellow volval fragments at top of bulb and in soil during collection. Growing on moss covered ground under balsam fir, hemlock and cedar in mixed woods.
