Recognized by sight: Definitely Hypogymnia due to inflated, tube-like branches. Looks too broad and “limp” to be H. imshaugii or the coastal counterpart H. inactiva. Also common along central California coast are H. heterophylla and H. enteromorpha (both with constricted side-lobules).
