On mossy ground under balsam fir, birch and white cedar. Cap up to 12 mm., yellow orange, thin flesh, paler striate margin. Gills pallid, attached to decurrent. Stem 32 mm. × 2 mm., yellow, solid, fibrous. Entire FB slimy and tacky when fresh.
