Pinkish-red caps with yellow pores which stain blue to bluish-green quickly. small cap was 6cm wide and the trama was 15mm thick at the center and 5mm thick at the incurved to decurved margin. Stipe 7cm long, 10mm at apex, 20mm in center and base, and tapered to a point with off white to brown rhizomorphs. Stipe flesh solid, white, and becoming yellowish. Trama under the pilepellis bruises greyish lightly. Tubes, minute and depressed by stipe which is yellowish with pinkish-red streaks. These specimens were well dried when found near Oaks. The knife on the lage specimen is four inches long from tip to tip.
