5cm, hemispheric becoming convex expanded. surface yellow to dingy orange, densely coated in ferrunginous erect squamules. Appendiculate, yellow veil remnants lasting well into maturity.

Lamellae yellow, adnexed, tearing away from stipe easily.

Stipe yellow to russet, coated in a thick but superficial layer of yellow fibrils. staining deep brown where handled.

collected from hardwood. Oak limb is likely.
