Specimen available

This one has all the features of an Amanita with the exception of the gill structure. Definitely a head scratcher on my end…

Why are the gills so different than other Amanitas? This one has some apparent issues that do not seem normal for Amanita standards. Did you notice the gills structure? I thought my other finds could all be the same but this one is different. Also note the “snakeskin” pattern on stem. Still A. muscaria var. persicina even with all these differences?

Again, this could be A. muscaria var. persicina.
