In this type of mushrooms is virtually impossible to give a name based only on the macroscopy. This is particularly true inthe case of Trichoglossum for which is not even known what species do really exist, in spite of some names were already attributed.

According to http://www.mykoweb.com/... but why selectively change the name on some obs and not others? Most of the postings of T. hirsutum are very confidently named despite the lack of microscopy.
