Observation 14475: Russula aeruginea group

When: 2008-11-22

Collection location: Marble Mountain Ranch, Siskiyou Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: John Harlan (harlanx6)

No specimen available

In soil, under Douglas fir-tanoak-madrone canopy. Cap definately greenish on all 3 specimens in group. Taste and aroma very mild. Large enough to eliminate all but a few Russulas. Is it a Russula? Any Russula experts out there who can help?

Recognized by sight: This may be really old, and I would not call myself an expert, but this seems very likely to me and I don’t see anything that doesn’t fit.
