Similar to description in Arora to T. platyphyllum, which I’ve never seen before that I’m aware of.

Recognized by sight: Small black scales on cap, becoming almost black at the center, edged in white; large stature, stipe with abundant small fibrils or scales, mostly dark brown to nearly black; base of stipe white, without scales on portion forming underground.
