Observation 146002: Hebeloma albidulum Peck

It’s a very unusual experience to bring home one specimee of a type of mushroom that I have never before consciously observed, and end up quickly and confidently assigning a name. But in this case I went from “Agaricales” to species in record time (for me)! The account seen on Mushroom Expert matches perfectly, including spore size, shape, abundance and shapes of cheilocystidia. Of course, there may be other possibilities about which I am unaware.

I’m dehydrating what remains of the cap.
