Cap scales in wet weather adher strongly to cap, but can be seen on the side. Gills slightly yellowish to cream. Deeply depressed cap holds rainfall as shown. Under Western hemlock.


Common in this area. Cap white to reddish or pinkish or yellow areas.
Cap edge shows small cap hairs.
Stipe and gills show yellow areas, streaks, and glandules.
Freshly-cut cap cross-section shows white latex, turning yellowish near gills.
