Brown spore print (see top of cap). Easily stains brown.


Formed between 2 limbs of Black cottonwood, downed. Copious spore load, quickly covering anything that falls on it: Bigleaf maple seeds, in this case.
Edge of sporocarp thin, brown spores on cap, white pores underneath.
Pore surface slightly gray, mostly white.
A fingernail was used to create this star.
