Observation 14930: Pluteus Fr.

When: 2008-12-04

Collection location: Tomales Bay State Park, Marin Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Found on rotting log in mixed woods, mostly under pine.

Unknown small grey Pluteus. There were a number of unknown Pluteus found there on this day, I’ve never really thought of Pluteus showing a great deal of variation in the wild, but I guess that is not true, I just haven’t seen them before. There were probably 4-5 different species of Pluteus found this day, and I hadn’t seen any of them before.
