While I haven’t changed my mind about “var. guessowii” eventually becoming synonymous with “A. amerimuscaria,” nobody has yet committed to this possibility. I think we should stick with the current names until the changes are published…especially in this case. MO is still using muscaria subsp. flavivolvata which is the correct, current name for A. amerimuscaria.
