Do they stain black?

We’ve been putting the name Lyophyllum semitale on some stuff up there that stains black, with the grey gills, and white spore color. Although since Lyophyllum just hasn’t been studied, that name doesn’t mean much in CA… We did see a few of these black staining guys this past weekend, it was a good year for them.

Did you get a spore color of these, the stipe there looks rather like a Hebeloma really… (another unknown genus for CA…)
