Recognized by sight: Looks like it has some veil remnants near the disc. Parasola has a clean cap and Coprinellus has particle-like veil remnants. I’ve seen a slender Parasola-like Coprinellus in the LA area (observation 405) and Darvin has made a similar observation in northern California (observation 3695).
