I would agree that it is closer to H. inocybiformis.

My first reaction was, no thats not a Hygrophorus… but with those thicker decurrent gills… probably it is…

I think I saw one that was sorta like that in Colorado and people called it Hygrophorus olivaceoalbus, maybe? Don’t think there is one like this in CA, or is there?

I’d guess Hygrophorus inocybiformis
