Observation 15104: Lactarius rubrilacteus Hesler & A.H. Sm.

When: 2008-12-08

Collection location: Magalia, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Shane Marsh (Mushane)

No specimen available

Found growing under a mix of ponderosa pine and oak trees.

I was thinking maybe Rubrilacteus, or Deterrimus.

The colors look shifted…

The orange color seems to have faded, the green stain look blue… not sure of the colors here.

The latex looks more red, so this is more probably Lactarius rubrilacteus.
