When: 2013-11-10

Collection location: 7700 SE Stephens, Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

Growing on lawn, from remains of a large Bigleaf maple tree. The stump was ground last year, and I expected to see this then. Seems it took an additional year to flush.

In situ. Stump was located at depression on left. Stom older Armillaria still fruiting there.
Cap in hand. Even though clumped, many mycophagists sampling caps.
Stipe was rather stouter than anticipated. Solid. Annulus visible. Gills honey-brown.
