Observation 15183: Ramaria botrytis (Pers.) Ricken

When: 2008-12-03

Collection location: Salt Point State Park, Sonoma Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

Notes:
While I believe these were identified at the 2008 MSSF Fungus Fair, the “chain of evidence” was broken so I can’t be “I’d call it that” positive. However, the distinctive pinkish tint of the branches that is characteristic of this species is present. They do seem to match the general description in the Ramaria booklet from the U S Department of Interior.
