Small red globes on downed rotting tree. Increase second image to large or full size, zoom in at 150%. At this magnefication some of the spheres seem to have white stipes arising from the cracks in the wood.

vote to H. calyculata due to the fungi being less crowded than that of H. clavata. Refference Myxomycetes: A handbook of Slime molds.
