it does have the aspect of a lactarius.

is it wet from rain, not viscid?
to get latex from these guys, just run a fingernail along the gills…fresh ones like this should bleed nicely…then observe for color changes. also, taste it! w/out that, further ID will be difficult…

Latex is visible on a finger also.

I think there may be some some latex visible between the gills.
