Amanita franchetii does not occur in CA – our yellow-veiled Validae taxon is called Amanita augusta. This has a pinkish-tan cap with white UV tissue, and is more likely Amanita “pseudobreckonii”.

It is not that similar to the true A. breckonii but a picture of it was mislabeled as that taxon in Agaricales of CA.
