Length 1/2-1 mm, diameter 1/2mm, color blue, texture smooth, solid

Cap:
Diameter 5mm-1cm, color blue fading to pale blue, texture appears smooth, but under magnification finely tomentose with smooth tomentums, plain to uplifted

but you were right about aeruginascens having smooth tomentum.
The micro shots show a rough surface on the hyphae though, so that would confirm aeruginosa. But I recognized the species on the pale coloured hymenium and constistently round shape…
