Observation 156873: Lactarius paradoxus Beardslee & Burl.

When: 2013-12-31

Collection location: Tallahassee, Florida, USA [Click for map]

30.5759° -84.238°

Who: Chris Hay (hayfield)

No specimen available

Notes:
GPS coordinates are representative for this neighbourhood, where mushrooms were abundant on lawns where pine and oak trees where never far (mycorrhizal species may be with either the hardwoods or conifers).

They seem really common on lawns around here (probably the most common mushroom I saw, unless there are other similar Lactarius I was mistaking as the same species). The colouring looks really cool.
