Observation 157301: Handkea utriformis (Bull.) Kreisel

When: 2014-01-06

Collection location: Braga, Portugal [Click for map]

Who: Elsa (pinknailsgirl)

No specimen available

After opening the remaining gleba walls fell over the membrane which separates the gleba from the spongy(it has a spongy look too) subgleba 3cm height (“stem”). I was in doubt with Vascellum, but this has ±5 cm diam and 7cm height, would be a very big one (maybe out of standards). The skin is very elastic (not fragile).
