I would recommend Placidium, but I don’t know what “earthscales” to expect in Wisconsin. I wish there were some sign of apothecia or perithecia, that would narrow things down. Things like Psora (doubtful), Toninia (usually at least some apothecia_, Peltula (seems awfully large), Placidium, Catapyrenium, … (wish I had a reference in front of me!)
