Observation 158932: Fuligo septica (L.) F.H. Wigg.

Notes:
Brilliant Yellow Fungi growing on the decomposing side of a fallen log. The log surface was wet and although the clumps appear to be individual, examination shows all are joined. The Slime? fungi was easily marked when touched, felt wet and adhered to my finger,and loss of surface detail occurred. . The fungi may be Fuligo septica.(B Fuhrer) My records indicate that (Fuligo septica) grows on leaf litter. Scoped images using wet slide without reagent. Last image is sectioned stipe.
