Observation 15973: Agaricus sylvicola (Vittad.) Peck

When: 2008-12-31

Collection location: Novato, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

These were growing in a live oak and madrone wood. They had a faint odor of anise and the spores were the right size, some with a noticeable hilar appendage. Basically, they seem to fit the descriptions in Arora and on Mykoweb.
