According to this Spanish mushroom website, Pholiotina aporos, is the species most similar to Pholiotina arrhenii but it fruits in the spring.
and according to this Italian website – http://translate.google.com/...
Pholiotina aporos is “present from March to May” and the mushrooms in these photos were found in mid September.
I don’t think any micro work was done on these because I think this was a field ID. I will try to contact Silvano Pizzardo but he doesn’t speak English and this was found over 2 years ago.
