Observation 161216: Chroogomphus vinicolor (Peck) O.K. Mill.

These were growing close together(see in-situ photo) in mixed woods of Bishop pine, Live oak and tanoak.
Spores of the Chroogomphus vinicolor were ~ 16.0-20.0 X 5.9-6.9 microns.
The gill cystidia were thick-walled.
