Observation 16141: Trichia favoginea (Batsch) Pers.

When: 2009-01-05

Collection location: Strouds Run State Park, Athens, Ohio, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dan Molter (shroomydan)

No specimen available

I was unable to see any ‘cones’ at the base of the yellow fuzz. This could be a different species of Yellow Fuzz Slime, or it could be a phenotypic variation, perhaps affected by growth is freezing weather.
