Notes:
Gray crustose lichen on rock at about 6000’ elevation in pinyon pine/juniper habitat. Looks like gray paint smeared on the rock—common on Arizona at this elevation.

I would leave Aspicilia at genus

until you see K test, spores and conidia. It’s such a difficult genus already, let’s not pollute the net with identifications based on pure guesses! I know other people feel differently though…
