Observation 162456: Peziza varia (Hedw.) Fr. (Site ID) (Peziza varia)

Growing in lines on downed, rotting hardwood log, which is probably Populus trichocarpa (Black Cottonwood) or Alnus (Alder)
Flesh 2-3 mm thick.
There were plenty of these in this Location. At first glance, some appeared to be in soil but were actually on buried wood.
