Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

Growing on the ground in mixed woods, primarily Live oak and Madrone.
Caps up to 12.0 cm across.
Spore print white and spores not amyloid.
Spores ~ 4.9-5.6 X 3.5-4.7 microns, mostly broadly ellipsoid and smooth.
There was an odor, not unpleasant, but difficult to describe(for me).
Edit; The orangish color of the base of the stem and other features do suggest T. saponaceum. Thanks Walt.

Spores in Congo red + KOH @ 1000X.
