This year has been terrific for the observation of Sticta spp.. I found great populations of three of the four species existing here. This observation refers to the most bizarre of the specimens observed: in addition to the coralloide clusters of isisdia there are a great amount of folioles, mainly at the margin but not restricted to it.

I just uploaded a picture of what was left after collected the bizarre specimen.
These isidia were apparently so eager to start their own thalli, that they didn’t even wait until they fell off! :)
